Hayward Navigator Pro Suction Sweep Cleaner
This cleaner has been around for over 20 years. It was the first suction sweep unit to be made. They have made many improvements. The one thing I like the most is it doesn’t make any noise when it is working. The Kreepy pool sweep is now made by Pentair. When the Kreepy is working, it makes a loud clicking noise over & over again, besides that the Kreepy is a good unit. If you have a pool that gets a lot of leaves and debris, I recommend the Kreepy unit. The navigator pro has a turbine inside it that gets stuck if there is a lot of leaves and debris. No matter which unit you go with, you will need a canister basket between the hose and suction pipe inlet. This will catch the leaves before it goes into the pipe preventing the pipe and pump basket from clogging. The best way to have a suction sweep is to have a separate pipe coming out of the pool wall in the middle of the pool. There would be a valve at the equipment to control the suction between the skimmer and pool sweep. If you don’t have this, you plug in the sweep hose inside your skimmer.Suction Sweep Cleaner
